spinner/prop nut for damage or tightness
prop blades for nicks or tip damage
muffler for secure motoring
fuel lines properly connected
engine mount securely attached to firewall
engine securely attached to mount
throttle linkage secure
wheels rotate without binding
wheel collars secure
wing attachment bolts/screws tight
all control linkages secure
all clevises properly fastened
Frequency pin secured before turning on any radio equipment
all flight-control hinges intact and secure
all control surfaces follow command inputs
no binding of controls
surface or covering material intact
batteries fully charged
fuel tank topped off
tank emptied (after final flight of day)
after-run oil injected into engine (after final flight of day)
general airframe inspection for damage
entire aircraft cleaned to remove oil and dirt
batteries recharged
Suggestion: Make a few copies of the above using the "PRINT" button below and put them in your field box. Then, each time you are out to fly, you will have a small, handy check list.
