Why Join SVRC?

    When you ask a member why he or she joined the Sangamon Valley R/C Flyers, you'll get many different answers. Many will tell you that the club membership is required to fly at the only Springfield FAA-regulated airport. Or some will say that flying off of a 6000 foot runway gives them plenty of room to save an airplane on a short or long landing approach. Some will tell you that it's the general atmosphere--a day in the country doing something they love. But there are so many more not-so-obvious reasons to join the Sangamon Valley R/C Flyers:

• Pilots with decades of experience flying radio controlled models of all types, including trainers, small, medium and large aerobatic airplanes, super-fast jet aircraft, scale models, and helicopters

• Builders of all skill levels who have built hundreds of radio controlled airplanes from kits, ARFs and scratch builds

• Everyone who is at the field shares your interests and passions in radio controlled flying.
